⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Never read before this author's work but now I have a feeling that will change. This was a delightful book. It was odd in a good way. And funny. So funny. Amy vansant has such a unique voice, A different way of weaving a story and building different personalities and POV into one solid story. You just get pulled in without realizing you are reading a book about a heavy subject like grief. It doesn't fall under the usual writing traps of angst, sadness and it doesn't make you cry. It is subtle and funny and real, It shows instead of telling us . No tedious inner monologues. Great supporting cast to our main characters. All and all great original story with a strong voice. If I have to compare our authors voice it reminds me to some extent k.a. linde voice in neighbors from hell series. ~ Shely
